Marcella’s  motivation for the creation of Teddy Magic,

The Magical Teddies concept  is a commitment to, and love for children, and a desire to make a positive contribution to their lives.  

MISSION STATEMENT

Children need more than ever to feel valued, confident and loved.
The CHARACTERS, STORIES, SONGS and THEMES in Teddy Magic- the Magical Teddies  have been created specifically to enhance children’s awareness of their unique loveliness and value, enhance feelings of self-worth and resilience and instil a sense of make-believe, magic and wonder in children’s lives.

For over 14 years Marcella has been running a programme of Creative Expression Activities for primary and preschool children offering stories, songs, movement to music, imaginative play and drama.

Magical Teddies concerts and presentations have  been held at Child Care Centers, Preschools, Schools, Libraries, Community Centers and Theatres in Australia and overseas - Hong Kong, Singapore, South Africa.

Marcella also hosts a Children’s Radio Programme in Melbourne, Australia on Yarra Valley FM Community Radio Station, 99.1 FM, every Sunday morning at 9am. So if you’re anywhere within a 60km radius of Woori Yallock in Melbourne, tune in !  

Educationally, Marcella completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Psychology ( which she found very trying ! ) and Literature ( for which she has always had a passion!) at Swinburne University in  Melbourne in  1991).

She has also done courses in Play Therapy and Therapeutic Story Telling, which she loved and found quite illuminating!

Goals:

To gain the interest of: Book/Music Publishers; TV Companies/Producers; Entertainment Promotional Companies; Merchandising/Licensing Companies etc.

To create  special venues for children - Magical Teddie's Imaginative Play Centres, in the design of the Castle in the story,  incorporating the themes and activities of Teddy Magic with beautiful fairy-tale décor, imaginative play equipment, music, stories, drama and games.  

To produce ongoing Concerts containing the Characters, Stories, Songs and Themes of Teddy Magic, in Australia and overseas.
